In this guide, we'll walk you through the basics of what you should know about your Microsoft account, your WordPress website, and internet access at your library, including security basics, troubleshooting tips, and more!

If you are a new director, there are some things you'll need to know right off the bat. Please contact IT as soon as possible to get your:

  • WiFi password
  • Admin password
  • WordPress login

FAQs

How do I log into my WordPress?

Your login page is found at yourwebsite.org/XXX-admin.

In the event of a login failure, (mistyped password or wrong login, etc.) you have to go back to your specific login page. Do not try again on the page that loads, because it will continue to fail. (This is a security measure to thwart repeated attempts.

I blew out my WordPress website/lost my WordPress password. Help!

How often should the library order new computers?

The Dell warranties are good for three years, through the equipment usually lasts longer.  The IT Department will provide support for any machines you order through NCLS and recommends budgeting for replacements every few years. You can find the current pricing for Dell machines here.

What do I need to do for E-Rate?

If your library takes advantage of the E-Rate discount, NCLS will complete all the required paperwork. We will contact you if we need any information.
